Soapstone
Soapstone also known as steatite is composed of several minerals, but the most abundant is talc. Being quite hard it is a popular granite or marble alternative with a unique “soapy” texture. Soapstone is a great choice for interior-design elements including kitchen countertops and kitchen sinks. The colors can range from an almost pale green to a light gray.
